Chillicothe Gazette’s February 21st, 1966 Monday evening publication pays tribute to Dard Hunter, a renowned paper historian. Dard’s passion for print and paper led him to establish a museum at MIT in 1939; following relocations, the museum was renamed the Robert C. Williams Museum of Papermaking, eventually merging with the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2003.  

This month’s Artifact of the Month is two block print book papers from Italy made by Flavia Farina Cini (1881-1979).

August 19 would have been Arnold Grummer’s 100th birthday. Arnie, as his friends and family called him, may be best known for the eponymous company he founded that provides papermaking supplies and equipment to papermakers from novice to expert.
